I have been involved in book and print production for over 15 years as a copy-editor and proofreader, researcher and writer, project manager and author. My aim is to achieve well written, succinct and compelling copy focusing on the client´s brief but with the reader in mind. Many of the projects I develop are art, architecture and design related. Others document social history and the history of London, in particular the River Thames and London´s hospitals. I also have significant experience in Islamic and sub-Saharan African art and design.

1989 − 90 MA Area Studies: Africa (School of Oriental and African Studies).

1989 − 92 Bellew Publishing: editorial assistant and training in all aspects of publishing.

1992 − 3 Freelance research assistant working for Katz Productions.

1994 Freelance editor working for the Dulwich Picture Gallery.

1996 − 9 Museum of London Publications Officer.

2000 − 2003 Freelance editor and book packager based at Art Books International. Developed projects for Christie's Books, Ritu Kumar, the Foundry, London's Found Riverscape Project and Museum with No Frontiers.

2004 − present Freelance based in Southwark Webbed (for website editorial www.webb-ed.co.uk) mandigomez (for editorial work in print)
